The Real Fishing Fleet, Hornby Island, B.C.

I called this The Real Ffishing Fleet because the gulls greatly outnumbered the eager fishermen who were there on Hornby to scoop up the herring. The wild birds abounded on the beaches anxiously awaiting easy meals as the herring spawned.

This painting is hanging in the North Delta Recreation Centre, also known as Gallery North on 84th Ave. near 114th Street in North Delta from March 28 - April 29th 2015 as part of my West Coast Scenes Exhibit in conjunction with Watershed Artworks Society, 11425 84th Ave., North Delta, B.C.
