These seagulls were amongst the hundreds of seabirds waiting for a taste of herring after the spawn off Hornby Island, B.C. one day in March. It was an amazing sight to see the water turn white and experience the excitement and anticipation of some tasty morsels for the hundreds of gulls, oyster catchers, eagles, cormorants, sea lions and heaven knows who else. (not to mention the fishermen)
